Intangible assets, its position in the asset structure of an entity

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá dlouhodobým nehmotným majetkem, jeho postavením ve struktuře aktiv účetní jednotky. Práce je pomyslně rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy, jako jsou účetní jednotka, aktiva, majetek podniku, nehmotný majetek, oceňování a investování do nehmotných aktiv. Praktickou část tvoří analýza aktiv ve čtyřech firmách. Ty si navzájem konkurují. Podnikají ve sklářském a keramickém průmyslu. Analýza se zabývá hodnotou aktiv, strukturou dlouhodobého majetku a především strukturou nehmotného majetku v letech 2002-2012. Výsledky z jednotlivých analýz jsou porovnány navzájem.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis deals with intangible assets, its position in the asset structure of an entity. The work has been divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines basic concepts such as the entity, the assets, the assets of the company, the intangible assets, the appraisement and the investment in the intangible assets. The practical part is the analysis of the assets in four companies. They compete with each other. They do business in the glass and ceramics industry. The analysis deals with the value of the assets, the structure of the long-term property and mainly with the structure of the intangible assets in 2002-2012. The results of each analysis are compared with each other.
