Abstract:
Monoxenous trypanosomatids are usually regarded as relatively obscure cousins of dixenous species within the family Trypanosomatidae. In this work we examined several axenic cultures of monoxenous trypanosomatids originated from Ecuador. Molecular phylogeny approach was applied and phylogenetic trees were built.
