Monetary Reform of Alois Rašín

Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Měnová reforma Aloise Rašína“ je popsat měnovou reformu provedenou po první světové válce v Československu. První část je zaměřena na popis historických skutečností, hospodářských a teoretických východisek reformy. Kromě oficiální verze jsou zde zmíněny i alternativní návrhy. V druhé části charakterizuji průběh reformy do roku 1923. Zaměřuji se na provedení měnové odluky a následnou deflační politiku. Poslední část je věnována dopadům reformy a hodnocení reformy prvorepublikovými i současnými autory.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis: “Monetary reform of Alois Rašín” is to describe the monetary reform made after First World War in Czechoslovakia. The first part is concentrated on describing historical facts, economic and theoretical resources of the reform. Except of official version alternative opinions are mentioned. In the second part I characterize course of the reform until 1923. I target the performance of monetary separation and consecutive deflationary policy. The final part is devoted to impact of the reform and rating of the reform by past and current economists.
