Possibilities of using aromatherapy in horses

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je literární rešerší, která se zaměřuje na možné využití aromaterapie u koní. V první kapitole je charakterizována aromaterapie a jsou zde definované základní pojmy. Druhá kapitola se věnuje vzniku aromaterapie a je v ní nastíněn historický vývoj aromaterapie v jednotlivých zemích. Třetí kapitola popisuje způsoby získávání éterických olejů, jejich specifitu a cesty prostupu éterických olejů do organismu. Jsou zde profilovány vlastnosti základních šesti éterických olejů, které jsou vhodné pro i koně. Čtvrtá kapitola charakterizuje přirozenou zoofarmakognozii, řízenou zoofarmakognozii a její možné využití v aromaterapii u koní. Pátá kapitola se věnuje využití aromaterapie u koní. Jsou v ní popsané základní zdravotní problémy koní a vhodné éterické oleje pro jejich přímou nebo doplňkovou léčbu.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is a literature search that focuses on the possible use of aromatherapy in horses. In the first chapter, aromatherapy is characterized and basic concepts are defined. The second chapter focuses on the origins of aromatherapy and outlines the historical development of aromatherapy in different countries. The third chapter describes the methods of obtaining essential oils, their specificity and the routes of penetration of essential oils into the organism. The properties of the basic six essential oils that are suitable for horses are profiled. The fourth chapter characterizes natural zoopharmacognosy, controlled zoopharmacognosy, and its potential use in aromatherapy in horses. The fifth chapter focuses on the use of aromatherapy in horses. It describes the basic health problems of horses and suitable essential oils for their direct or complementary treatment.
