Victims of stalking in the process of seeking help and support

Abstract:

Diplomová práce na téma „Oběti stalkingu v procesu hledání podpory a pomoci“ pojednává o negativním fenoménu dnešní doby, nebezpečném pronásledování. Teoretická část se zabývá obecnou charakteristikou stalkingu zaměřenou na historii, znaky, druhy a formy. Další část je orientována na viktimologii, která se zabývá charakteristikou oběti, typem pachatele a možnými dopady nebezpečného pronásledování na oběť a její okolí. Závěr teoretické části je zaměřen na poskytovanou podporu obětem stalkingu, prevenci a osvětu. Teoretická část je zpracována na základě analýzy rozhovorů, které byly pomocí otevřeného kódování rozděleny do kategorií a zodpovězeny hlavní a vedlejší výzkumné otázky. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké jsou vzorce jednání a způsoby prožívání u obětí stalkingu během vyhledávání podpory a pomoci, jak dochází k vyhledání podpory, jaký je vztah mezi potřebami oběti a poskytovanou podporou a jaké jsou strategie zvládání emocí obětí stalkingu.

Abstract:

My thesis on the topic „Victims of stalking in the process of seeking help and support” deals with present negative phenomenon, dangerous pursuing. The theoretical part is aimed at the general characteristics of stalking, its history, characters, its types and forms. The next part is orientated on victimology, science about victim characteristic, offender’s typology and also on possible consequences of the dangerous pursuing on the victim and his or her environment. The conclusion of the theoretical part is aimed at the victim support, prevention and further education. The theoretical part was worked up on the basis of interview analysis, which had been divided by means of open translation into categories and there were answered primary and secondary research questions. The thesis aim is to find out what are the victim behavior stereotypes and feelings during looking for the support and help, how the victims find the support, what is the relationship between the victim´s needs and possible support and what are the strategies to cope victim’s emotions.
