Possibilities of cooperation between spa organizations and municipalities in the selected destination

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the possibility of cooperation between spa organizations and municipalities. The issue of cooperation between several entities is a multifaceted topic, in which the ability to communicate and propose improvements for future development that cooperation brings is especially prevalent. To present the issue of cooperation, Slovenské liečebné kúpele Piešťany, a.s., located in western Slovakia, and the town of Piešťany were selected. For the proper functioning of spa organisations, it is necessary to cooperate with other entities, whether from the tourism industry or from the state and territorial administration. The thesis is divided into three parts, which are further divided into subchapters. In the first theoretical part the spa industry is defined. Next, the theoretical section defines the legal anchorage of the spa industry in Slovakia, state organizations, local government and financing. The analytical part of the thesis is aimed at finding out the current situation of cooperation between the city and the spa. A qualitative method in the form of an interview and a quantitative method in the form of a questionnaire survey were used as part of the thesis.The third part of the thesis consists of the outputs and findings of the thesis.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá témou možnosti spolupráce kúpeľných organizácií a municipalít. Problematika spolupráce viacerých subjektov je všestranná téma, v ktorej predovšetkým prevláda schopnosť komunikovať a navrhovať zlepšenia pre budúci rozvoj, ktorý spolupráca prináša. Pre priblíženie problematiky spolupráce boli vybraté Slovenské liečebné kúpele Piešťany, a.s. nachádzajúce sa na západnom Slovensku a mesto Piešťany. Pre správne fungovanie kúpeľných organizácií je potrebné spolupracovať s ďalšími subjektami či už z cestovného ruchu alebo zo strany štátnej a územnej správy. Diplomová práca je rozdelená do troch častí, ktoré sa ďalej delia do subkapitol. V prvej teoretickej časti dochádza k definovaniu kúpeľníctva. Ďalej je teoreticky vymedzené zákonné ukotvenie kúpeľníctva na Slovensku, štátne organizácie, samospráva a financovanie. Analytická časť práce je zameraná na zistenie aktuálnej situácie spolupáce medzi mestom a kúpeľmi. Súčasťou diplomovej práce bola využitá kvalitatívna metóda v podobe rozhovoru a kvantitatívna metóda v podobe dotazníkového šetrenia. Tretiu časť práce tvoria výstupy a poznatky práce.
