Tato práce se zaměřuje na česká účelová adjectiva, jako např. mrazicí (box) nebo dýchací (potíže). Cílem práce je navrhnout novou perspektivu na jejich tvoření. České tradiční gramatiky předpokládají, že tato adjektiva jsou tvořena ze dvou částí: (i) verbálního stemu (mrazi- v příkladu o něco výše) a (ii) sufixu –cí. Abstract:
This thesis investigates a group of purpose adjectives in Czech. Examples include adjectives such as mrazicí (box) „freezing (box)“ or dýchací (potíže) „breathing (problems)“. The goal is to propose a new perspective on their word-formation. Traditionally, they are assumed to be formed from two pieces: (i) the verbal stem (mrazi- in the particular example above) and (ii) the suffix –cí. I argue against …more
