Geographical Aspects of Charitable Activities of Civil Society Organizations in the Pilsen Region

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřila na analýzu geografických aspektů dobročinných aktivit organizací občanské společnosti v Plzeňském kraji. Soustředil jsem se zejména na distribuci dobročinných aktivit a samotných dobročinných organizaci občanské společnosti v Plzeňském kraji. Rovněž jsem se pokusil vysvětlit tuto prostorovou distribuci pomocí socio-ekonomických, demografických a politických faktorů. Jednalo o volební účast,, religiozitu obyvatel, míru nezaměstnanosti, index stáří aj. V závěru práce jsem zjištěné poznatky zhodnotil a navrhnul implikace pro budoucí výzkumy na toto téma.

Abstract:

This master thesis focused on the analysis of geographical aspects of charitable activities of civil society organizations in the Pilsen region. In particular, I focused on the distribution of charitable activities and the charitable CSOs themselves in the Pilsen Region. I have also tried to explain this spatial distribution using socio-economic, economic, demographic and political factors. These included, for example, voter turnout, religiosity of inhabitants, unemployment rate, age index etc.At the end of the thesis, I evaluated the findings and suggested implications for future research on this topic.
