Burial Ritus of Rural Societies from Late Neolithic and Early Eneolithic (List and Comparision of Burials from Funnel Beaker Culture in Bohemia and Moravia with Burials of Jordanów Group, Lengyel Culture and Stroked Pottery Culture in Central Europe)

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problémem matriarchátu a patriarchátu v pravěkých společnostech v mladším neolitu a ve starším eneolitu. Na základě vyhodnocení hrobů pocházejících z tohoto období s přihlédnutím k poznatkům ze sociální a kulturní antropologie a etnografie dokládá počátek patriarchálního společenského uspořádání. Práce zahrnuje i hospodářské a ekonomické změny probíhající v eneolitu – především zavedení oradla, rozvinutí dělby práce a rozmach řemeslné specializace ve střední Evropě, významně ovlivňující postavení mužů a žen ve společnosti. Práce obsahuje soupis hrobů mladší fáze vypíchané keramiky, kultury s moravskou malovanou keramikou, jordanovské skupiny a kultury nálevkovitých pohárů, a zmiňuje také některé bohaté hroby rodící se elity a pohřby řemeslníků, které podporují myšlenku počínající společenské stratifikace v období eneolitu.

Abstract:

Bachelor degree thesis focus on problem of matriarchy and patriarchy in prehistoric communities on the edge of late Neolithic and early Eneolithic. Based on archaeological estimation of burials from this period it proofs the existence of rising patriarchy in societies of early Eneolithic regarding the common findings of social – cultural anthropologists. The thesis also considered the influence of the economic changes ongoing in Eneolithic – especially the invention of plough and evolving of division of labour together with start of craftsmanship in Central Europe, on different status of men and women. Except of the burials of Stroked pottery culture, Moravian painted ware, Jordanów group and Funnel beaker culture the thesis also mentions the findings of rich graves of rising elite and graves belonging to eneolithic specialist, which support the idea of social stratification.
