Analysis of the Use of Open Banking in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca sa zameriava na predstavenie a vysvetlenie problematiky open bankingu a taktiež na analýzu jeho využitia v Českej republike, z pohľadu bánk a fintech spoločností. V teoretickej časti tejto práce je predstavená história bankovníctva, bankový systém Českej republiky a svet finančných technológií. Ďalšia časť teoretickej časti sa zameriava na vysvetlenie základných pojmov, týkajúcich sa open bankingu, na to, ako open banking vplýva na subjekty trhu, a v krátkosti sa venuje aj aktuálnemu stavu open bankingu vo svete. Obsahom praktickej časti je analýza zameraná na využitie open bankingu vybranými bankami a fintech spoločnosťami, ktoré pôsobia na území Českej republiky. Konkrétne sa práca sústreďuje na predstavenie hlavných produktov a služieb, ktoré tieto bankové inštitúcie a fintech spoločnosti v rámci open bankingu poskytujú. Následne sa v bakalárskej práci nachádza zhrnutie a interpretácia výsledkov, ktoré vychádzajú z vykonanej analýzy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the introduction and explanation of open banking and also on the analysis of its use in the Czech Republic, from the perspective of banks and fintech companies. In the theoretical part of this thesis, the history of banking, the banking system of the Czech Republic and the world of financial technology are presented. The next part of the theoretical part focuses on the explanation of the basic concepts related to open banking, how open banking affects market players, and briefly discusses the current state of open banking in the world. The content of the practical part is an analysis focused on the use of open banking by selected banks and fintech companies operating in the Czech Republic. Specifically, the thesis focuses on the presentation of the main products and services provided by these banking institutions and fintech companies within the framework of open banking. Subsequently, the bachelor thesis contains a summary and interpretation of the results based on the analysis carried out.
