Již dlouho se vědci snažili najít efektivní a hlavně procesně méně náročný postup pro izolaci velmi malého množství nukleových kyselin (NK), mRNA apod. Pomohly jim v tom až paramagnetické kuličky, které svou variabilitou povrchu dovolují, za použití vnějšího magnetického pole a v relativně krátkém čase, izolovat právě ty molekuly, o které máme zájem. Scientists tried to find efficient and especially processly less difficult method for isolation of very small quantities of nucleic acids, mRNA etc., for long time.
