Upbringing styles in the family

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na výchovné styly v rodinách. V teoretické části je nejprve poskytnut prostor pro vymezení pojmu rodiny, kterou objasňuje z hlediska hlavních funkcí a typologie. V další kapitole je charakterizován termín výchovy, při němž je popsáno výchovné působení rodičů spolu s výchovnými prostředky v podobě odměn a trestů. Významnou oblastí teoretické části je identifikování vybraných výchovných stylů, kterými se zabýval profesor Čáp se svými kolegy. Zde je také věnována pozornost Čápovu modelu devíti polí. Část empirická se orientuje na představení všech metodologických aspektů, jako definování cíle, výzkumné otázky, operacionalizace, výzkumného vzorku, vstupu do terénu a také nástroje profesora Čápa, Čechové a Boschka, prostřednictvím kterého byla data kvantitativně sesbírána. Za hlavní cíl si pak klade zjistit, jaký výchovný styl převládá dle modelu devíti polí.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on parenting styles in families. The theory section first looks at the notion of family, defining it on the basis of its main functions and typology. In the next chapter, the concept of parenting is characterized, and parent behaviour together with parenting practices, such as reward and punishment, are described. The key part of the theory section involves identifying specific parenting styles, as analyzed by professor Čáp and his team. The professor’s model of nine fields is brought into consideration. The empirical section of the thesis focuses on methodological aspects such as defining the scope and the research question, operationalization, representative sample, conducting field research, as well as presenting the instruments of professor Čáp, Čechová and Boschek which were utilized in quantitative gathering of the data. The primary aim of the empirical section is to identify the prevailing parenting style through the model of nine fields.
