Abstract:

Anotace Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem Československých válečných veteránů bojujících v druhé světové válce. Během tohoto období v historii nebyli tito vojáci schopni naplnit svoji misi v Československé republice, neboť byla okupovaná hitlerovským Německem. Realizace této myšlenky byla možná pouze připojením buď k zahraniční nebo Československé vojenské jednotce zformované v zahraničí. Cíl této práce je přiblížit atmosféru ve válce, v boji a popsat a zjistit povahu těch, kteří dobrovolně nasazovali život v boji proti nacismu. Pro tyto účely jsem analyzovala osobní prožitky dvou mladých Čechoslováků, kteří se účastnili druhé světové války. Jejich výpovědi a zážitky se v mnoha směrech liší, ale jsou si také navzájem podobné. Ke zjišťování informací jsem používala dvě metody: rozhovor a písemný záznam z osobního deníku.

Abstract:

Annotation This bachelor thesis deals with the theme of Czechoslovakian war veterans fighting in the Second World War. During this period in history these soldiers were not able to fulfil their mission in the Czechoslovak Republic since it was occupied by Hitler´s Germany. The realisation of this idea was possible only by joining either foreign or Czechoslovak military units formed abroad. The aim of this thesis is to show the atmosphere of war, of combat and to identify and explore the human qualities of those who voluntarily risked their lives in the fight against Nazism. For this purpose, I have analysed the personal experiences of two young Czechoslovaks who were part of the Second World War. Their accounts and experiences differ in many ways but also have similarities. I used two methods to collect information from my subjects: interview and the written notes from a personal diary.
