Effect of the dissolution media on drug release from hydrophilic matrix tablets

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce je literární rešerší na téma "Vliv disolučního média na uvolňování léčiva z hydrofilních matricových tablet". Práce je zaměřena na řízené uvolňování léčiva z pevných lékových forem, zejména z matricových tablet. Matricové tablety patří mezi nejběžněji používané systémy s řízeným uvolňováním účinné látky. V práci jsou popsány jednotlivé typy matricových tablet, pozornost je zaměřena zejména na hydrofilní matricové tablety, které jsou předmětem této práce. Diskutovány jsou excipienty používané při výrobě matricových tablet, dále pak disoluční studie, vliv pH a složení disolučních médií na uvolňování účinné látky. Rozebrány jsou rovněž faktory ovlivňující uvolňování léčiv z hydrofilních matric.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is discussing topic "Effect of dissolution medium on drug release from the hydrophilic matrix tablets". The work is focused on controlled drug release from dosage forms, particularly from matrix tablets which belong among the most commonly used controlled release systems with controlled drug release. In thesis are described types of matrix tablets and the attention is focused on the hydrophilic matrix tablets which is also the main subjekt. In this work are discussed the excipients used in the manufacture of matrix tablets, then the dissolution study, the influence of pH and composition of dissolution media on the drug release. There are also discussed the factors that affect drug release from hydrophilic matrix tablets.
