Thesis refers to an evaluation of Hibernate overhead over JDBC layer. Text of thesis introduces reader into mentioned issue by motivation and analysis of basic related terms. Práca sa zaoberá testovaním režijných nákladov, ktoré pridáva rozhranie Hibernate nad vrstvou JDBC. Text práce čitateľa postupne uvádza do danej problematiky motiváciou a rozborom základných pojmov. Nasleduje analýza spomínaných rozhraní s dôrazom na vybrané komponenty, ktoré majú potenciálne významný vplyv na výsledky testov. Na základe analýzy je stanovená metodika testovania.
