Intercultural Aspects of interlanguage Communication

Abstract:

Tématem disertační práce jsou Interkulturní aspekty mezijazykové komunikace. Autor, při jejím zpracování vycházel ze svého dlouholetého zájmu o Češtinu jako cizí jazyk a ze své zkušenosti Českých reálií. Po úvodu a nástinu historie oboru definuje termín reálie a sociokulturní kompetence. V druhé části popisuje svůj terénní výzkum zaměřený na to, jak zahraniční studenti bohemistiky znají České reálie a zaměřuje se především na jejich znalost kulturněhistorické frazeologie. Ze svého výzkumu vyvozuje závěry pro pedagogickou praxi.

Abstract:

The submitted doctoral thesis is based on the author´s long experience with teaching of Czech as a foreign language and on his long-running interest in the issue of Czech life and institutions. After the introducrion and a concise history of Czech as a foreign language the author pays attention to the definition of the term "Life and Institutions". The second part of the thesis deals with the research of only one aspects of sociocultural competence, namely the knowledge of Czech cultural and historical phraseology. On the basis of the author's research, he draws the conclusions for language acquisition and teaching Czech for foreigners.
