Spaces of home at the inhabitants of landscape of Moravian Kopanice.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje významům domova u obyvatel krajiny Moravských Kopanic. Hlavním rámcem práce je fenomenologický přístup jak v principu porozumění sociální realitě z hlediska aktérů sociálního života, tak jako hlavní princip pro interpretaci sesbíraných dat v terénu. Teoretická část práce popisuje význam prostoru jak z hlediska re-produkce sociální reality, tak se věnuje tématu uchopování prostoru ze strany samotných sociálních aktérů, a to skrze konceptualizaci pojmu místo. Existence místa je totiž závislá na lidském porozumění místu, zároveň však může přetrvávat v čase jako sociálně sdílený význam. Práce se dále podrobně věnuje tzv. fenomenologii místa, tedy popisu a interpretaci kognitivních mechanismů a aspektů sociálních významů míst tak, jak jim lidé rozumí a prožívají je v běžném životě. Vzhledem k účelu práce se zaměřuji na percepci a sociálně sdílené významy krajiny. Další část práce patří tématu domova, přičemž se zaměřuje zejména na hlavní principy, kterými se vyznačuje důležitost domova a skrze které je zaručeno „jeho“ přetrvávání v sociální realitě. Samotná výzkumná část práce se pak snaží odpovědět na otázku jaké jsou významy, které účastníci výzkumu vnáší do prostoru krajiny; jak je krajina prožívána v každodennosti sociálních aktérů; jakými způsoby je vytvářeno pojetí domova; jak se významy domova projevují v místě krajiny; a skrze jaké mechanismy je možné považovat prostory domova v krajině Moravských Kopanic jako prostory sociálně sdílené.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the meaning of "home" for residents the countryside Moravian Kopanice. The main body of work is a phenomenological approach to the principle of understanding social reality in terms of the actors of social life, as the main principle for interpreting the data collected in the field. The theoretical part of thesis describes the importance of space both in terms of re-production of social reality and focuses on the topic of grasping space by themselves social actors, through the conceptualization of the notion "place". The existence of space is in fact dependent on human understanding of place, but can also persist over time as socially shared meaning. Thesis also closely examines so-called. phenomenology of place, i.e. description and interpretation of cognitive mechanisms and aspects of the social meanings of places, as people understand them in everyday life. Given the purpose of the thesis I focus on the perception of shared meanings and social landscape. Another part of the thesis belongs to the theme of home, focusing especially on the main principles that characterize the importance of the home, which is guaranteed through "its" persistence of social reality. The actual research part of the thesis is trying to answer the question of what are the meanings that research participants brings in a landscape; how the social actors experiencing the landscape in the everyday; what ways is created concept of home; how the meanings of home manifest themselves in the place of landscapes; and in what ways are the areas of home in the countryside of Moravian Kopanice socially shared spaces.
