China and the USA: the way to global leadership?

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza ekonomického rozvoje Číny a USA. Práce je rozdě-lena do tří kapitol. První kapitola je zaměřena jen na Čínskou lidovou republiku. Zkoumá důvody současného ekonomického úspěchu a zhodnocuje snahy Komunistické strany Číny o přiblížení se světu zejména v hospodářských otázkách. Druhá kapitola je celá věnována hospodářskému vývoji Spojených států amerických. Pozornost je zaměřena obzvláště na ekonomický vývoj na přelomu tisíciletí, kdy byla úspěšná devadesátá léta minulého století vystřídána řadou krizí ve století jednadvacátém. Závěrečná kapitola hledá odpověď na otázku, který z těchto států jde po správné cestě k dosažení světového prvenství z ekonomického pohledu. Informace v této bakalářské práci pocházejí z českých a zahra-ničních tištěných i webových zdrojů.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the economic development of China and the USA. The work is divided into three chapters. The first part aims only at the People's Re-public of China. This work explores the reasons for contemporary economic success and evaluates the efforts of the Communist Party of China to bring China closer to the world especially in economic matters. The second chapter is completely devoted to the economic development of the United States of America. Attention is especially focused on economic development at the turn of the millennium. The successful nineties of the last century were replaced with a lot of crises in the twenty-first century. The concluding chapter looks for answer to the question which of these countries is on the better way to reach the first place in the world of the economic view. Information in my bachelor's thesis comes from Czech and foreign printed and web sources.
