Derivation of basic financial statements from a dynamic computer model of a business

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá základními účetními výkazy, jejich tvorbou v simulačním modelu a následným využitím při řízení podniku. Teoretická část popisuje postupy při vykazování ekonomické činnosti podle účetních standardů ČR, včetně exkurzu do historie. Definuje účetnictví, jeho primární uživatele a využití, zabývá se též všeobecnými zásadami účetnictví. Pozornost je věnována účetním metodám i účetní závěrce a následuje podrobný popis základních účetních výkazů. V experimentální, praktické části vysvětluje metodologii systémového přístupu, postupy pro popis dynamického systému, matematizaci dynamického diagramu a definuje výčet možností, které jsou v uvedených fázích tvorby dynamického modelu k dispozici. V následujících kapitolách je popsána tvorba jak dynamického modelu podniku, tak odvození účetních výkazů a jejich využití při rozhodování o nastavení klíčových parametrů v čase. V závěru je uvedeno, za jakých podmínek lze účetní výkazy využít k rozhodování a jaká periodicita aktualizace simulovaných výkazů vychází v provedených experimentech nejvýhodněji.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with basic financial statements, their creation in a simulation model and subsequent use in business management. The theoretical part describes the procedures for reporting economic activity according to the accounting standards of the Czech Republic, including an excursion into its history. The thesis defines accounting, its primary users and applications, it also deals with general principles of accounting. Attention is paid to accounting methods and financial statements, followed by a detailed description of basic financial statements. In the experimental, practical part, the thesis explains methodology of the systems approach, procedures for the description of the dynamic system, the mathematization of the dynamic diagram and defines a list of options that are available in the stages of creating a dynamic model. The following chapters describe the creation of both a dynamic model of the company and the derivation of financial statements and their use in deciding on the value of key parameters over time. In the conclusion, it is stated under which conditions the financial statements can be used for decision-making and what periodicity of updating the simulated statements is most advantageous in the performed experiments.
