Pohyb finančných prostriedkov je jedným zo základných znakov rozvinutej spoločnosti. Efektívny presun finančných zdrojov od tých, ktorí ich majú prebytok – kreditorov, k tým ktorí ich majú nedostatok – debitorom, sa nedá realizovať bez vzniku záväzkových vzťahov.
