Comparative analysis of regional approaches to support rural and peripheral areas

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na identifikaci a posouzení přístupů krajů České republiky v podpoře a rozvoji venkovských a periferních území. Cílem předkládaného textu je vytvoření komparativní analýzy přístupů vybraných krajů k řešení problematiky periferií a venkova. Teoretická část práce se věnuje teoretickým východiskům a vymezením základních termínů charakterizující venkovské a periferní území. Praktická část textu se soustředí na analýzu strategických dokumentů vybraných krajů, využití nástrojů podpory venkovských a periferních území a následné zhodnocení situace v těchto krajích. U zkoumaných krajů se podařilo identifikovat konkrétní nástroje či kompetence, které se s ohledem na místní specifické podmínky liší. Při aktivní spolupráci a zapojení všech aktérů mohou tyto krajské přístupy zvyšovat prosperitu a kvalitu života ve venkovských a periferních území a zamezit tak jejich rozšiřování.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis focuses on the identification and assessment of the approaches of the regions of the Czech Republic in the support and development of rural and peripheral areas. The aim of the presented text is to create a comparative analysis of the approaches of selected regions to solving the problems of the periphery and the countryside. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the theoretical basis and definition of basic terms characterizing rural and peripheral areas. The practical part of the text focuses on the analysis of strategic documents of selected regions, the use of tools to support rural and peripheral areas and the subsequent evaluation of the situation in these regions. In the examined regions, it was possible to identify specific tools or competencies that differ with regard to local specific conditions. With the active cooperation and involvement of all actors, these regional approaches can increase prosperity and quality of life in rural and peripheral areas and thus prevent their spread.
