The role of German renewable energy industry lobby in the EU renewable energy policy making

Abstract:

Renewable energy is a hot topic in the EU and a challenging issue to handle. Germany is a leader in the renewable energy sector in the EU. Its rapidly growing renewable energy industry puts Germany in the focus of my interest. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate positions and preferences of German renewable energy industry interest groups and its relation to the EU positions and interests in the field of renewable energy. In order to achieve these goals, this thesis will try to connect German renewable energy industry actions with the EU legislation in the field of renewable energy. Moreover, this will contribute to final evaluation of the impact of German renewable energy industry lobby on the renewable energy policy-making on the EU level.
