Theatre of Orgies and Mysteries in the past and today

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zařazení Divadla orgií a mystérií Hermanna Nitsche mezi současné formy hraničního umění se zaměřením na analýzu konkrétní akce z roku 2005 z vídeňského Burgtheatru. Práce vychází z doporučené literatury, videozáznamů a fotodokumentací Nitschových akcí a vlastní komparativní analýzy. Hlavní úlohou práce je provést analýzu 122. akce z Burgtheatru a komparovat ji s prvními Nitschovými akcemi ze šedesátých a sedmdesátých let. Vycházím především z knihy Eriky Fisher-Lichte Estetika preformativity a Hanse-Thiese Lemanna Postdramatické divadlo, také důležitým zdrojem informací jsou rozhovory s Hermannem Nitschem a odborné práce a články o něm samotném nebo o jeho akcích.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is inclusion Hermann Nitsch´s Theatre of Orgies and Mysteries between contemporary forms of performance art, with focusing on analysis of specific event from year 2005 form the Vienna Burgtheater. The thesis is based on the recommended literature, videos and photos from Nitsch´s performances and author´s original analysis. The main accent is put on the make analysis 122. action from the Vienna Burgheater and compare this action with first Nitsch´s actions from the sixties and seventies. The central text with witch the author works is above all Erika Fisher-Lichte The Aesthetic of the Performative and Hans-Thies Lehmann The Postdramatic Theatre. The important source of information are the interviews with Hermann Nitsch and thesis and articles about him or his performances.
