Increment regime aspects of trees in avenues

Abstract:

Stromy jsou schopny reagovat na biotické a abiotické faktory prostředí. Jednou z těchto reakcí je změna šířky letokruhů. Studiem těchto odezev zkoumaných jedinců lze usuzovat na určující podmínky prostředí. V předkládané práci byl pomocí dendrochronologie zkoumán vliv napadení jmelím bílým pravým (Viscum album ssp. album), kompetičního uvolnění, technických zásahů do komunikací a zdravotního stavu na přírůsty stromů v alejích. Studiu bylo podrobeno 65 a 58 lip srdčitých (Tilia cordata) a 74 lip velkolistých (Tilia platyphyllos) rostoucích v alejích - Helfštýně, Šilheřovicích a Světlé ? Zdounkách. Na základě statistických analýz byly vyvozeny závěry o vlivu zkoumaných disturbancí na přírůst. Napadení jmelím bílým pravým má zásadní vliv na vitalitu a přírůsty stromů. Vyšší napadení vykazují nejvitálnější jedinci. Souhrnně nejvíce napadené jsou stromy nejstarší. Ošetřování napadených stromů ořezem jim pomáhá déle odolávat napadení a zlepšuje jejich zdravotní stav. Vliv kompetičního uvolnění se projevuje zvýšeným přírůstem. Předpokládaná redukce přírůstu následkem nepříznivého ovlivnění technickými zásahy při výstavbě a údržbě komunikací se nepodařila s určitostí prokázat. Náznaky tohoto stavu se projevují u alejí Helfštýn a Světlá ? Zdounky. Přítomnost otevřených dutin či ořezaných větví a jiné poškození stromů má vliv na snížení přírůstu. Veškeré preventivní zákroky a ošetření se projevují pozitivně.

Abstract:

Trees are capable of reacting to biotic and abiotic environmental factors. One of these reactions is a change in the width of tree rings. The study of responses of examined trees can be used to determine conditions of environment. In this study the influence of mistletoe (Viscum album ssp. album) infestation, competition release, technical interventions in communications and health conditions on tree growth was investigated by the use of dendrochronological methods. The increment cores from 65 and 58 small-leaved limes (Tilia cordata) and 74 large-leaved limes (Tilia platyphyllos) was examined in the avenues - Helfštýn, Šilheřovice and Světlá ? Zdounky. The conclusions of influence of examined disturbances on tree growth were drawn on the basis of statistical analysis. Mistletoe infestation has a major impact on vitality of trees and tree growth. Higher infestation show the most vital individuals. The most infested trees are the oldest ones. Treatment of infested trees by the trimming helps trees to resist infestation and improves their health. The influence of competition release causes increase in tree growth. The expected growth reduction due to adverse interference of technical interventions has not been clearly proved. Indications of this conditions were found in avenues Helfštýn and Světlá ? Zdounky. The presence of open tree hollows, trimmed branches or other damage have influenced on tree growth reduction. All preventive interventions and treatments are positive for the growth of trees.
