Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Vliv anexe Krymu a ukrajinského konfliktu na vztahy Ruska a USA" pojednává o krocích, které provádělo Rusko a Spojené státy americké vůči Ukrajině v období od roku 2013 do roku 2017. Účelem této bakalářské práce je tedy analyzovat vztahy těchto dvou světových velmocí ve vztahu k Ukrajině v kontextu událostí, které na tomto území nastaly v období od protestů zvaných Euromajdan, které probíhaly od podzimu roku 2013, následné anexi Krymu a konfliktu na východě Ukrajiny probíhajících do roku 2017. Rok 2017 však není rok, který by znamenal ukončení a vyřešení stávajících problémů. Tyto problémy jsou stále aktuální a velice závažné, avšak Rusko a USA se snaží společně s ukrajinskou vládou o mírové řešení. Hlavním cílem práce je pomocí metody komparativní analýzy odpovídat na otázku jakým způsobem se projevuje dlouhotrvající ozbrojený konflikt na východě Ukrajiny včetně protiprávní anexe Krymu na americko-ruské vztahy. Tato studie se tedy zabývá komparací neboli porovnáváním zahraniční politiky, diplomacie a kultury USA a Ruska v kontextu ukrajinského konfliktu, nikoliv konfliktem na Ukrajině jako historickou událostí. V případě Ruska je hlavním zjištěním této studie, že jejich kroky vycházejí z historických a kulturních tradic navazujících na koncept "Ruského světa." Rusko tedy své kroky považuje za legitimní v rámci ochrany svých obyvatel na území Ukrajiny. V případě USA a NATO jde o podporu ukrajinské armády a podporu demokracie, které chce vláda Ukrajiny dosáhnout. Pro Spojené státy americké není Ukrajina nijak ekonomicky nebo strategicky důležitá, snaží se pouze o udržování míru, přestože Ukrajina není členem NATO ani EU.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis called "The influence of annexation of Crimea and Ukrainian conflict on relations between Russia and the USA" deals with the steps taken by Russia and the United States of America towards Ukraine in the period from 2013 to 2017. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the relations of these two world super powers in relation to Ukraine in the context of the events that took place in this area since the Euromaydan protests that took place since autumn 2013, the subsequent annexation of Crimea and the conflict in eastern Ukraine to 2017. However, 2017 is not a year that would mean ending and resolving existing problems. These problems are still topical and very serious, but Russia and the US, together with the Ukrainian government, are seeking a peaceful solution. The main aim of the thesis is to use the method of comparative analysis to answer the question of how long-lasting armed conflict manifests itself in the east of Ukraine, including the illegal annexation of Crimea to US-Russian relations. Thus, this study deals with the comparison of foreign policy, diplomacy and culture of the US and Russia in the context of the Ukrainian conflict, not the conflict in Ukraine as a historical event. In the case of Russia, the main finding of this study is that their actions are based on historical and cultural traditions following the concept of the "Russian world." Thus, Russia considers its actions legitimate in protecting its people in Ukraine. In the case of the US and NATO, it is the support of the Ukrainian army and the support of democracy that the government of Ukraine wants to achieve. For the United States, Ukraine is not economically or strategically important, it is only trying to maintain peace, even though Ukraine is neither a member of NATO nor the EU.
