Gl’amori onesti del prencipe Sigismondo d’Arco con l’imperatrice Claudia d’I(n)spruch. Study on the witness preserved in Brno

Abstract:

This masters degree thesis deals with the short novel "Gl’amori onesti del prencipe Sigismondo d’Arco con l’imperatrice Claudia d’I(n)spruch", written towards the end of the XVII. However there are some of fifty manuscript witnesses of the short novel, it is not clear yet who the author was. A witness to the short novel, preserved in the Moravska zemska knihovna, pretends to know who the author was, but it reads a quite suspicious text with mistakes since the very beginning of the work. The thesis will investigate on the text provided by the Brno manuscript and compare it with the first print edition, taking into account also the second print edition and one other manuscript.

Abstract:

Magisterská diplomová práca sa zaoberá novelou "Gl’amori onesti del prencipe Sigismondo d’Arco con l’imperatrice Claudia d’I(n)spruch", z konca 17. storočia. O autorovi sa viedli dlhé spory, pretože napriek tomu, že sa novela dochovala nie len v tlačených vydaniach, ale aj v asi 50 rukopisoch, väčšina z nich je anonymná. Rukopis, z roku 1732, ktorý sa nachádza v Moravskej zemskej knižnici v Brne, sa prezentuje ako opísaný z originálu a znalý autora, avšak hneď v úvode textu je niekoľko chýb. Táto diplomová práca sa zameriava na overenie hodnovernosti brnenského rukopisu, RKP 879.386, a to v priamom porovnaní textov s prvým tlačeným vydaním z roku 1708, s prihliadnutím na druhú tlačenú edíciu a jeden ďalsí rukopis.
