Cultural centre Stanica Žilina-Záriečie: Analysis of communication strategies focused on building audiences of the Generations Y and Z

Abstract:

This master’s thesis called Cultural centre Stanica Žilina-Záriečie: Analysis of communication strategies focused on building audiences of the Generation Y and Z aims to evaluate the efficiency of communication strategies of the cultural centre Stanica Žilina-Záriečie by combining both quantitative and qualitative research methods. The goal is to do so considering the remaining cultural institutions operating in the town and focusing individually on the impression the communication strategies have on Millennials and Generation Z. The thesis is also focused on, in total, four selected centres of independent culture in Slovakia and explores their target groups and the respective forms of communication each centre uses on them. Another goal set for the thesis is to compare PR activities of each selected centre from this field and the reflexion of the data focused on verifying if there are any unification tendencies among the communication strategies used in cultural centres of this particular type.

Magisterská diplomová práca Kultúrne centrum Stanica Žilina-Záriečie: Analýza komunikačnej stratégie so zameraním na budovanie publika generácie Y a Z si kladie za cieľ prostredníctvom kombinácie metód kvalitatívneho a kvantitatívneho výskumu vyhodnotiť efektivitu komunikačných stratégií kultúrneho centra Stanica Žilina-Záriečie. Deje sa tak v kontexte ostatných mestských kultúrnych inštitúcií, pričom sa samostatne zameriava na vnímanie propagačných aktivít príslušníkmi generácií Y a Z. Práca sa rovnako venuje štyrom vybraným centrám nezávislej kultúry na Slovensku a mapuje cieľové skupiny a formy komunikácie s publikom každého z nich. Ďalším cieľom je komparácia PR aktivít jednotlivých organizácií v tomto sektore a reflexia získaných dát so zameraním na overenie skutočnosti, či existujú unifikačné tendencie v rámci komunikačných stratégií organizácií daného typu.
