The Stylish basis of the early Renaissance Art in Bohemia and Moravia in the production of the italian artists in the Central Italy during the second half of the 15th century.

Abstract:

Disertační práce byla zpočátku zaměřena na hledání a identifikaci nových formálních předloh renesančního tvarosloví zámku v Tovačově v architektonické skulptuře italského quattrocenta. Nezůstalo však jen u formální analýzy příkladů portálové architektury. Na základě provedených komparací jednotlivých příkladů vyplynuly i nové, zajímavé analogie a kulturně historické souvislosti, které pomohly představit moravského hejtmana Ctibora Tovačovského jako význačného literáta, filozofa, diplomata, vládce a stavebníka. Předkládaná práce je výsledkem několika samostatných studií, které se zabývají fenoménem triumfu, triumfálního portálu a jeho výpovědní hodnotou na pozadí společenského vývoje druhé poloviny 15. století. Do centra badatelského zájmu se tak dostaly nejen přední centra renesanční dvorské kultury jako papežský stát, vévodství urbinské, ferrarské, mantovské ad., ale také významné vůdčí osobnosti uměleckého a intelektuálního prostředí renesanční Itálie, jejichž působení ovlivnilo kulturní dění na Moravě.

Abstract:

My dissertation is oriented to early renaissance architectural decorative sculpture.The phenomenon of triumphal portal and its symbolic meaning in the art of the second half of 15th century are in the center of my research interest. My first attention was focused on an identification of the typological patterns in the architectural sculpture of the Italian Quattrocento. Research didn´t stop with a formal analysis of portal architecture. Thanks to the detailed comparison of examples of the portal architecture, new and interesting analogies emerged, which enlightened the cultural-historical backround of Moravian Renaissance style. All these information also helped to complete the picture describing the multi-personality of Ctibor Tovačovský as a distinguished writer, philosopher, diplomat, ruler and builder. This dissertation consists of individual essays that aimed to describe the historical and artistic events in the local contexts which are related to the cultural milieu in Moravia in the second half of the 15th century. The object of my dissertation was to submit the theoretical basis of the new style, to describe a wider historical context and ideological motivations which stood on the background of the arrival of the Renaissance style to Tovačov.
