?STREET ART? AS A SUBCULTURE,

Abstract:

Teoretická část diplomové práce se zabývá problematikou volného času, sociálními deviacemi, vymezením základních pojmů a kategorií graffiti, jeho historií ve světě a v České republice, jazykem writerů, problematikou graffiti v rámci trestního práva, vztahem k ostatním humanitním oborům (sociologie archeologie, etnologie, umění), street artem a jeho technikami. Cílem druhé části je analýza situace v Ostravě, Praze v kontrastu s obrazem v malých městech na příkladu Uherského Hradiště s vlastními autobiografickými postřehy a zkušenostmi. Ve své práci jsem se snažil konfrontovat vlastní poznatky s postoji významných tvůrců graffiti i bezejmenných taggerů. Ze získaných poznatků jsem dospěl k názoru, že budoucnost graffiti je ohrožena. Dnešní společnost svým postojem a pohlcením tvůrců do komerční sféry, vymezením legálních ploch a represivními opatřeními postupně eliminuje pouliční taggery. Writery posouvá do sféry umění (tím, že jim dává prostor) a mizí důvod proč skutečné, pouliční graffiti dělat.

Abstract:

Theoretical part of my thesis deals with free time problem, social deviations, basic conception and graffiti determination, its history round the world and in CR, the language of writers, graffiti problem within the framework of criminal law, its relation to other humanities (sociology of archaeology, ethnology, art), street art and its techniques. The aim of the second part is situation analysis in Ostrava, Prague in contrast with smaller cities such as Uherské Hradiště including autobiographical perceptions and experiences of my own. In my work I tried to confront my own findings with observations and remarks of prominent graffiti authors even nameless taggers. After evaluation of all obtained data I came to decision that graffiti future is at risk. Present society is gradually eliminating street taggers by its stance, absorption of graffiti authors to commercial scene, demarcation of legal graffiti areas and repressive measures. It is also moving writers to art sphere (by giving them space needed) and by that, the real reason to do street graffiti is being eliminated.
