My thesis project aims to thoroughly examine the effects of the sugar tax on the economy and socio-economic aspects of sugary beverages. This tax's potential impact and outcomes were evaluated through detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis. Using the DCE (discrete choice experiment) method in a questionnaire for quantitative analysis and conducting semi-structured interviews with beverage-producing companies for qualitative insights, the objective is to understand the intricate dynamics involved in discussions about the sugar tax.
