Analysis of situational leadership style

Abstract:

Cílem disertační práce „Analýza situačního stylu vedení“ je definovat činitele, kteří ovlivňují základní dimenze situačního stylu vedení, jehož vhodným použitím se zvyšuje efektivita vedení manažera. Za tímto účelem je nejprve popsán vznik a vývoj teorie situačního vedení, poté jsou představeny dílčí závěry zahraničních studií zkoumajících dané téma. K naplnění cíle práce byl realizován empirický výzkum, který je založen na kvantitativním přístupu získávání dat, na jehož základě jsou vyhodnoceny postoje 1007 respondentů. Hlavním přínosem předložené disertační práce je nalezení míry souvislosti mezi zkoumanými činiteli a preferovaným stylem vedení, mírou jeho flexibility a také efektivity.

Abstract:

The objective of the dissertation thesis entitled “An Analysis of Situational Leadership Style” is to define the factors that affect the fundamental dimensions of the situational leadership style, which increases the efficiency of a manager’s leadership when used appropriately. Therefore, the emergence and development of the situational leadership theory are described first, and they are followed by partial results of foreign studies dealing with this subject. To meet the objectives of the thesis, the author carried out empirical research that is based on a quantitative approach to obtaining data; this approach enabled the author to evaluate attitudes of 1007 respondents. The main contribution of the submitted dissertation thesis is to find the degree of connection between the studied factors and a preferred leadership style, the degree of its flexibility as well as efficiency.
