Social business and its trends in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce jesociální podnikání sezaměřením nastávající situaci ve světě, Evropě a České republice. Její teoretická část se věnuje definici sociálního podnikání, jeho vymezení vůči podnikání jako takovému a představení současných trendů v tomto sektoru. V části praktické se práce zabývá analýzou vybraného sociálního podniku, tj. Sdružení Tulipán, na jejímž základě si klade za cíl navrhnout doporučení vetřech zvolených oblastech, atovoblasti produktového portfolia, zaměstnanecké struktury a finanční situace podniku. Informace nezbytné pro vypracování této analýzy byly získány zejména prostřednictvím dvouměsíční praxe autorky ve vybraném sociálním podniku a na základě rozhovorů vedených s jeho zaměstnanci a podrobného rozboru poskytnutých interních dokumentů. Výsledkem provedené analýzy jestanovení návrhů adoporučení, které mohou pomoci Sdružení Tulipán stabilizovat jeho situaci a přispět k dalšímu růstu.

Abstract:

The topic of this diploma thesis is social entrepreneurship with a focus on the current situation in the world, Europe and the Czech Republic. Its theoretical part deals with the definition of social entrepreneurship, its specification in relation to entrepreneurship as such and the introduction of current trends in this sector. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the analysis of a selected social enterprise, i.e. Sdružení Tulipán, on the basis of which it aims to propose recommendations in three selected areas, namely product portfolio, employee structure and financial situation of the enterprise. The data necessary for the completion of the analysis was obtained mainly during the author’s two-months internship in the selected social enterprise, as well as on the basis of interviews conducted with its employees and a detailed analysis of the internal documents provided. The outcome of the analysis is to formulate proposals and recommendations that can help Sdružení Tulipán stabilize its situation and contribute to its further growth.
