Possibilities of Social Work in Solving Poverty of Single Mothers

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je popsat faktory chudoby matek samoživitelek. Stať je rozdělena na část teoretickou a výzkumnou. V teoretické části je nejprve pojem chudoba definován, poté je pozornost zaměřena na osamělé matky, a to především na jejich nevýhodné finanční zázemí, kdy zmiňuje i aktuální situaci, jako jsou skutečnosti plynoucí z pandemie covidu-19, a uvádí také, jaké možnosti podpory tyto osoby mohou využít. Třetí kapitola pak popisuje sociální práci zaměřenou na matky samoživitelky, kdy zmiňuje některé metody, techniky a principy, které se používají při práci s touto cílovou skupinou. Ve výzkumné části je představen kvalitativní výzkum uskutečněný metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru, který zkoumá, jak sociální pracovnice řeší pomocí metod a technik sociální práce chudobu osamělých matek.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to describe the factors of poverty among single mothers. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a research part. In the theoretical part, the concept of poverty is first defined, followed by a focus on single mothers, particularly their disadvantaged financial situation. The author also mentions the current situation, such as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and presents the support options available to these individuals. The third chapter describes social work focused on single mothers, mentioning some methods, techniques, and principles used when working with this target group. In the research part, a qualitative study conducted through semi-structured interviews is presented, which examines how social workers address poverty among single mothers using methods and techniques of social work.
