Lighting Design Workshop for Teachers and Students at the MF JAMU in Brno

Abstract:

Absolventský projekt „Workshop světelného designu pro pedagogy a studenty HF JAMU“ vznikl s cílem seznámit členy akademické obce Hudební fakulty Janáčkovy akademie múzických umění v Brně se světelným designem, který se využívá u koncertů a hudebně-dramatických děl. Šlo o ukázky práce se světly dostupnými na Hudební fakultě. V průběhu workshopu si účastníci vyzkoušeli práci se světly, vytvořili a zrealizovali koncepci světelného designu. Výsledky prezentovali na závěrečném koncertu. Na závěr proběhla diskuse o významu světelného designu v rámci jednotlivých vystoupení a zda je možné v tradici takových workshopů pokračovat.

Abstract:

Graduation project “Lighting Design Workshop for Teachers and Students at the MF JAMU in Brno”, aims to introduce lighting design to teachers and students of Music faculty of Janáček academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. During the workshop they were introduced to the technology that is available at Music faculty. During the workshop attendees learned how to work with lighting technology, they created and realized a concept of lighting design. They presented the concept at the final concert which was ended with a discussion about the performances and the role of light in them and if there should be continuity in such workshops.
