Activation of seniors in long-term hospital care

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zjišťuje, zda aktivizační činnost ve zdravotnickém zařízení dlouhodobé péče ovlivňuje kvalitu života a zdravotní stav seniorů a urychluje jejich navrácení do jejich přirozeného prostředí. Práce je orientována na souvislosti k tématu, které se týká stáří, dlouhodobé zdravotní péče, sociální práce ve zdravotnictví, aktivizace seniorů, mezi což patří nácvik běžných denních činností, aktivizace s hudbou a zpěvem, aktivity se zvířaty a jiné. Důležitá je také motivace seniorů napomáhající ke zkvalitnění života v zařízení nemocničního typu. Šetření bylo provedeno ve čtyřech zařízeních dlouhodobé péče Ústeckého a Libereckého kraje formou kvantitativního výzkumu dotazníkovou metodou. Práce propojuje vyhodnocená data s teoretickými oblastmi forem aktivizace, motivace seniorů, ale zkoumá také vliv nemocničního prostředí na seniory, sociální práci se seniory ve zdravotnictví a obecně problematiku stáří.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis investigates whether activation activity in a long-term care medical facility influences the quality of life and health condition of seniors and accelerates their return to their natural environment. The thesis is oriented to the context of the topic, which is related to old age, long-term health care, social work in health care, and activation of seniors, which includes training of common daily activities, activation with music and singing, activities with animals, and others. Motivation of seniors is also important to help improve the quality of life in hospital-type facilities. The investigation was done in four long-term care facilities in the Ústí and Liberec regions in the form of quantitative research using the questionnaire method. The work connects the evaluated data with the theoretical areas of forms of activation, motivation of the seniors, but also studies the influence of the hospital environment on the seniors, social work with seniors in health care and in general the issue of old age.
