Předmětem této práce je analýza dopadu Lisabonské smlouvy na demokratický deficit Evropské unie. Po zhodnocení, zda v Evropské unii existuje demokratický deficit, jsou představeny nejdůležitější změny zaváděné Lisabonskou smlouvou a zhodnoceny z pohledu demokratického deficitu. The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the impact of the Lisbon treaty on the democratic deficit existing in the European union. The first part of this thesis is an overview of the most common approaches to the democratic deficit in the European union including opinions rejecting its existence.
