Stability and existence of periodical solution with time varying parameters

Abstract:

Diplomová práce popisuje metodu pro získání analytického řešení periodických kmitů mechanických systémů s libovolným počtem stupňů volnosti s časově periodicky proměnnými parametry (hmotnost, tlumení, tuhost a buzení). Matematický model je popsán integro-diferenciální rovnicí s degenerovaným jádrem a periodickou Greenovo fuknkcí. V každé kapitole je získané řešení demonstrováno na jednom či více aplikačních příkladech. Druhá část práce je zaměřena na analýzu stability. Na základě faktu, že o poloze hranice mezi oblastí stability a nestability rozhoduje znaménko charakteristického determinantu, jsou určeny oblasti (ne)existence analytického periodického řešení. Prezentovaná metoda je v tomto případě nepochybně efektivnější a přesnější než Floquetova teorie.

Abstract:

This thesis describes an approach to the analytical solution of the periodical vibrations of mechanical systems with any number of degrees of freedom with periodically time varying parameters (mass, damping, stiffness matrices and excitation vector). The model is described by a differential-integral equation with a degenerated kernel and a periodical Green´s function. In each chapter, the solution obtained by this method is demonstrated on one or more examples. The second part is focused on a stability analysis. Using the fact, that the zero value of the determinant of a system matrix specifies the border of (un)stability, an area of (non)existence of the periodical analytical solution is obtained. The presented method is definitely more effective and accurate than the Floquet theory in this case.
