Reactive UV filters for improving of UV protective behavior of textiles

Abstract:

V předložené práci jsou uvedeny výsledky výzkumu reaktivních UV absorbérů, které jsou permanentně vázány na testovaném substrátu, celulózových a technických textilií. Jedná se o nové UV absorbéry, jejichž struktura byla v rámci této práce optimalizována. Pro celulózové textilie byl navržen kondenzát 4-aminofenyl-1H-benzimidazol-5-sulfonové kyseliny, 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazinu a 2-(4-aminofenylsulfonyl)-ethylhydrogen sulfátu. Tento UV absorbér byl vybrán z řady sloučenin připravených z analogických substituentů. Tento reaktivní UV absorbér byl otestován na celulózových textiliích z hlediska jejich účinnosti při ochraně před UV zářením a stabilitou v praní i na světle. Ve všech parametrech vykazoval tento UV absorbér vyhovující vlastnosti. Pro technické textilie byl připraven UV absorbér, který byl reaktivně vázán v polymerní struktuře vodné akrylátové disperze. Po nanesení této disperze na technické textilie došlo k řádovému navýšení UV ochranného faktoru a vedle toho byl navržen postup zvýšení světlostálosti barviv a pigmentů použitých k obarvení těchto textilií. Popsané syntézy a testování nových UV absorbérů byly z velké části provedeny v rámci projektu SUNPROTEC, který byl podporován MPO ČR pod označením FT-TA/035.

Abstract:

The results of reactive UV absorbers research are given in this work. These UV absorbers are bonded on tested substrate, cellulose and technical fabrics. There was done study of new UV absorbers, which structure was optimised during this work. The condensate of 4-aminophenyl-1H-benzimidazole-5-sulphonic acid, 2,4,6-trichloro- 1,3,5-triazine and 2-(4-aminophenylsulphonyl)-ethylhydrogen sulphate was suggested for cellulose fabrics. This UV absorber was chosen among analogical substituents prepared during this study. This UV absorber was applied on cellulose fabric, which was used for tests of efficiency of protection against UV radiation and stability during washing and against light. System has satisfied behaviour in all studied parameters. UV absorber able of covalent bond in polymeric structure of waterborne acrylic dispersion was used for technical fabrics. The increasing of UV protective factor by rate was observed after application of this dispersion on the cover of chosen fabrics. This principle is possible to use for increasing of light fastness of dyes and pigments used for colouring of these fabrics. Described syntheses and tests of new UV absorbers were mostly done during research work in project SUNPROTEC, which was supported by Ministry of Industry and Trade, FTTA/ 035.
