Maria Montessori Concept as an Inspiration for Kindergartens

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá alternativním školstvím, a to konkrétně pedagogickou koncepcí Marie Montessori. Cílem bakalářské práce je zjistit, jaká je informovanost učitelů v běžných mateřských školách o pedagogické koncepci Marie Montessori. Bakalářská práce obsahuje dvě části. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny pojmy spojené s reformní pedagogikou, alternativním školstvím a pedagogickou koncepcí Marie Montessori. Montessori pedagogiku přibližují kapitoly zabývající se základními principy, oblastmi vzdělávání a didaktickými pomůckami, typickými pro tuto koncepci. V praktické části jsou prezentovány výsledky výzkumného šetření, které cílilo na skupinu učitelů běžných mateřských škol. Smyslem bylo zjistit, do jaké míry jsou učitelé běžných mateřských škol informováni o koncepci Marii Montessori, zda využívají některé prvky této koncepce ve vzdělávací práci s dětmi a čím je tato pedagogická koncepce inspiruje.

Abstract:

This thesis researches alternative education, specifically the pedagogical concept of Maria Montessori. The goal of this work is to find out what is the awareness of teachers in ordinary kindergardens about the pedagogical concept of Maria Montessori. Bachelor thesis cosists of two parts. The theoretical part explains the concepts associated with reform pedagogy, alternative education and the pedagogical concept of Maria Montessori. Montessori pedagogy is approached by chapters dealing with basic principles, areas of education and didactic aids, typical for this concept. The practical part presents the results of a research survey aimed at a group of teachers of ordinary kindergartens. The aim was to find out to what extent the teachers of ordinary kindergartens are informed about the concept of Maria Montessori, whether they use some elements of this concept in educational work with children and how this pedagogical concept inspiries them.
