Psychological aspects of managerial decision-making

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání psychologických faktorů, které ovlivňují manažerské rozhodování. První část práce analyzuje teoretická témata spojená s psychologií rozhodování, jako je vnímání rizika, emoční inteligence, kognitivní tendence a omezení při rozhodování, rozhodování za nejistých podmínek, vliv skupinové dynamiky a sociálního kontextu, genderové rozdíly, komunikace a jazyk v procesu rozhodování, inovační myšlení, kreativita, různé typy myšlení a význam manažerských rolí a kompetencí. Dále jsou zkoumána související témata odporu vůči škatulkování a tvořivosti u sebeaktualizovaných jedinců. V analytické části práce je využito kombinace kvantitativní a kvalitativní metody výzkumu, konkrétně dotazníkového šetření a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, které oba svou koncepcí navazují na teoretická východiska. Hlavním cílem této analýzy je prezentovat návrhy a doporučení pro optimalizaci rozhodovacích procesů v konkrétním podniku a identifikovat další přínosy a témata pro otevřenou diskusi.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the investigation of psychological factors that influence managerial decision-making. The first part of the thesis analyzes theoretical topics connected with the psychology of decision-making, such as risk perception, emotional intelligence, cognitive tendencies and limitations in decision-making, decision-making under uncertain conditions, the influence of group dynamics and social context, gender differences, communication and language in the decision-making process, innovative thinking , creativity, different types of thinking and the importance of managerial roles and competencies. Next, the related themes of resistance to pigeonholing and creativity in self-actualized individuals are explored. In the analytical part of the work, a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods is used, specifically questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews, both of which are based on theoretical starting points. The main goal of this analysis is to present proposals and recommendations for optimizing decision-making processes in a specific company and to identify other benefits and topics for open discussion.
