Problems and perspectives of university reform in the Czech Republic - reflection on the issue of University Reform in Czech Television (media analysis of the theme)

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou zavedení navrhované vysokoškolské reformy v České republice. Cílem diplomové práce je vyhodnotit přednosti a nedostatky navrhované reformy včetně formulování relevantních doporučení, interpretovat a komparovat postoje a názory hlavních aktérů prezentovaných médii a mediální rozbor uvedené problematiky. V úvodní části je práce zaměřena na představení organizace a financování stávajícího systému terciárního vzdělávání v České republice, jeho význam a právní vymezení. Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na popsání navrhované vysokoškolské reformy a předkládá ucelený přehled jejich klíčových předností a nedostatků. V závěru teoreticko-metodologické části je věnována pozornost fenoménu médií a jejich účinkům. Praktická část práce vyhodnocuje nejčastěji prezentované klíčové přednosti a nedostatky navrhované vysokoškolské reformy na základě rozboru mediální prezentace tohoto tématu v České televizi a v Hospodářských novinách.

Abstract:

This Master thesis deals with the introduction of the proposed university reform implementation in the Czech Republic. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the proposed reform, including the formulation of relevant recommendations, interpret and compare the attitudes and opinions of the main participants these were presented by the media and the media analysis of the issue. The first part of the Master thesis is focused on the introduction of the existing organization and financing of tertiary education in the Czech Republic, its meaning and legal definition. This paper focuses on the description of the proposed university reform and presents a comprehensive overview of their key strengths and weaknesses. In conclusion, theoretical and methodological part is devoted to the media phenomenon and their effects. The practical part of the paper evaluates the most commonly presented key strengths and weaknesses of the proposed university reform on the basis of analysis of media coverage of this theme in the “Česká televize” and “Hospodářské noviny”.
