Activities in Teaching Drama Promoting Healthy Diet for Children in Pre-primary Education

Abstract:

Název práce je Činnosti dramatické výchovy podporující zdravou výživu u dětí v preprimárním vzdělávání. Hlavním cílem výzkumného šetření bylo vyzkoušet využití dramatické výchovy ve spojení s učením vztahujícím se ke zdravé výživě dětí v mateřské škole. Teoretická část je rozdělena do tří hlavních kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá dramatickou výchovou a jejími činnostmi, jsou zde uvedeny metody dramatické výchovy vztahující se ke vzdělávání dětí v mateřské škole. Detailněji je zde popsána dramatická metoda učitele v roli, která je podstatou vzdělávacího programu (empirické části). Další podkapitola pojednává o osobnosti učitele preprimárního vzdělávání a dále o vztahu mezi učitelem a dítětem předškolního věku. Důležitou podkapitolu tvoří hra v preprimárním věku, zde jsou uvedena stádia hry dle autorky S. Koťátkové. Podstatná část informací k této kapitole byla čerpána od autorky E. Suchánkové. Druhá kapitola teoretické části se zabývá složkami výživy, je zde popsáno desatero správného stravování dětí dle autora O. Šimíka, jsou zde rozepsány jednotlivé složky stravy. V této kapitole je také popsána potravinová pyramida, dle vzoru Ministerstva zdravotnictví. Uvádím zde dále spotřební koš, dle kterého se řídí sestavování jídelníčku v mateřské škole. Poslední, avšak neméně důležitou podkapitolou, je pitný režim. Třetí kapitola, s názvem charakteristika dětí předškolního věku, charakterizuje toto období jak z psychologického, tak biologického hlediska, dle autora J. Průchy. Významnou část tvoří potřeby dětí dle psychologů Z. Matějčka a J. Langmeiera. Teoretickou část uzavírá podkapitola komunikace dětí, zde jsou podrobněji rozepsány složky neverbální komunikace, jenž je důležité znát při práci s dětmi. Empirická část se zabývá praktickým propojením dramatické výchovy a zdravé stravy u dětí v preprimárním věku. Pro metodu sběru dat byly využity dvě varianty ověření si znalostí dětí. Jako první byly zvoleny čtyři dílčí cíle, které byly naplňovány předem připraveným vzdělávacím programem a podporovaly naplnění hlavního cíle. Druhá varianta pro hodnocení bylo sedm doplňujících otázek. Děti na tyto otázky odpovídaly formou individuálního rozhovoru, jejich odpovědi byly zaznamenány do připravených tabulek, jednalo se tedy o didaktické testy, které se zaměřovaly na míru dosažených změn získaných informací. Pro výzkumné šetření byl využit kvalitativní výzkum, participativní pozorování. Hodnocení výzkumného šetření považuji za úspěšné. Dle získaných výsledků šetření lze usoudit, že spojení dramatické výchovy s výukou zdravého stravování je velmi vhodné a pro děti přínosné. Abstract:

The name of the thesis is Drama Education Activities Supporting Healthy Nutrition of Pre-primary education. The main aim of the research was to test the use of drama in connection with teaching related to healthy nutrition of children in kindergarten. The question that accompanied the entire research was concerned with the possibility of linking dramatic education and healthy nutrition. Having studied the literature, preparing and implementing an educational program for preschool children, I conclude that the combination of these two fields seems appropriate and very interesting for use when working with children in kindergarten. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter is focused on drama in education and its activities, methods of drama related to education of children in kindergarten are mentioned there. The dramatical method of teacher in the role, which is the essence of the educational program of the empirical part, is described there in more detail. The importance of the relationship between a teacher and a child in a kindergarten is also pointed out there. As well as the personality of the teacher, who is a very important component especially when working with preschool children. An essential subchapter is a play in pre-primary age, here are stated the stages of the game according to the author S. Koťátková. A substantial part of the information on this chapter was inspired by the author E. Suchánková. The second chapter of the theoretical part is focused on the nutritional components and key features for healthy nutrition according to the author O. Šimík are described there. Individual components of diet and their influence on organism are also also described in this chapter. This chapter introduces a food pyramid, modeled by the Ministry of Health. It contains a consumer basket, which governs the creating of the menu in kindergarten. The last, but no less important subchapter is called the Drinking Regime. The third chapter, called Characteristics of Preschool Children, describes this development period both psychologically and biologically in accordance with the author J. Průcha. The needs of children according to psychologists Z. Matějček and J. Langmeier form a significant part. The theoretical part concludes with a subchapter of children's communication, the components of nonverbal communication, which is important to know when working with children are described there in details. The empirical part deals with the practical connection of dramatic education and healthy diet in children of pre-primary age. Two variants of verifying the knowledge of children were used for the method of data collection. Four objectives were compiled first, complementing the pre-prepared training program. Then, seven additional questions were stated for the second evaluation of the research survey. The children answered these questions in an individual interview. Their responses were collected into the prepared tables. It was didactic tests that were focused on the degree of achieved changes in the information obtained. Qualitative research and participatory observation was used for the research. I consider the evaluation of the research to be successful.
