Práce si klade za cíl analyzovat situace, ve kterých je hlavní hrdina svým okolím špatně chápán nebo nazván idiotem. Zabývá se významem slova „idiot“ a tím, v jakém smyslu se jej v určitých situacích v románu užívá. V práci se dále popisuje, jak hlavní hrdina pojímá sám sebe, jaký k němu mají přístup ostatní postavy, a jak důležitou roli hrály v tehdejší společnosti peníze, moc a lež. V závěru práce …more

The aim of this thesis is to analyse situations in which the main character is misunderstood or called “idiot”. The thesis deals with meanings of the word “idiot” and with the way it is used in certain situations of the story.
