Social housing in selected structurally affected regions

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na systémy sociálního bydlení ve strukturálně postižených regionech jako jedno z možných řešení bytové nouze. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak fungují jednotlivé praxe sociálního bydlení ve vybraných strukturálně postižených regionech v České republice a v Anglii, a to dle porovnání měst Ostrava a Newcastle upon Tyne. Za tímto účelem je na základě strategických dokumentů porovnáváno několik prvků jednotlivých systémů sociálního bydlení. Následně jsou formulovány podněty pro dané systémy, které mohou vést k jejich vylepšení či zkvalitnění.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on social housing systems in structurally affected regions as one possible solution to housing emergency. The aim of the thesis is to investigate how different social housing practices work in selected structurally affected regions in the Czech Republic and England, by comparing the cities of Ostrava and Newcastle upon Tyne. To this end, several elements of each social housing system are compared on the basis of strategic documents. Subsequently, suggestions which may lead to improvement or enhancement of the systems are formulated.
