In this bachelor thesis we deal with the history of concrete visual media as well as with the work of selected artists who worked with light elements during normalization. We analyze the impact of individual periods in the history of Czechoslovakia on light advertising. V uvedenej bakalárskej práci sa zaoberáme históriou konkrétneho vizuálneho média, ako aj prácou vybraných umelcov, ktorí za normalizácie pracovali so svetelnými prvkami. Analyzujeme aký vplyv mali jednotlivé obdobia v histórií Československa na svetelnú reklamu. Objasňujeme dôvod popularizácie svetelných nápisov, ako aj dôvod ich úpadku po páde režimu.
