Accounting method and reflected ability of accounting data

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na to, jak variantní a volitelné účetní metody stanovené v Zákoně 563/1991 Sb. o účetnictví, ve znění pozdějších úprav, mohou ovlivnit hospodářský výsledek firmy. Cílem diplomové práce je na základě analýzy používané metodiky účtování společnosti JELÍNEK – výroba nábytku s.r.o. stanovit, jaký vliv má tato metodika na výsledek hospodaření a zjistit, zda by změna dosud používaných účetních metod v rámci možností stanovených legislativou umožnila vykazovat jiný výsledek hospodaření. V teoretické části jsou charakterizovány účetní metody podle platné legislativy. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu současně uplatňované metodiky vedení účetnictví a komparaci jednotlivých řešení s možnostmi, které nabízí legislativní úprava. Výsledkem je zjištění, že by volba jiných metod sice snížila výsledek hospodaření, nicméně vypočítané ukazatele pro hodnocení výkonnosti prokázaly, že vliv jinak zvolené účetní metodiky na výsledek hospodaření i na celkovou výpověď o hospodaření společnosti není podstatný.

Abstract:

Focus of this diploma thesis is influence of variant and selectable accounting methods stated in 563/1991 coll. on accounting and operating results of companies. The aim of the thesis is to carry out an analysis of used accounting methods by company JELÍNEK – výroba nábytku s.r.o. The analysis will determine impact of the selected accounting methods on operating results of the company and whether the change of the methods would allow the company to other profit. The theoretical part describes the accounting methods allowed by the legislation. The practical part includes the analysis will compare the currently applied methods and the other options allowed by the legislation. The result is that the choice of other methods, while profit declined, however, calculated indicators for performance evaluation showed that the effect of different accounting methodology chosen to profit on the overall statement of the company is irrelevant.
