Motivation and satisfaction of employees in a selected company

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou motivace a spokojenosti zaměstnanců, jakožto zásadními faktory ovlivňujícími výkonnost, inovační myšlení a tím i úspěch a konkurenceschopnost celé firmy. Teoretická část se věnuje vysvětlení pojmu motivace, důvodům, proč by na ní neměl úspěšný podnik zapomínat a důsledkům nedostatečné motivace. Dále jsou uváděny způsoby stimulace, zvláštní důraz je kladen na odměňování. Závěr této části je zaměřen na správné vedení podřízených. Praktická část formou dotazníků zkoumá motivaci a spokojenost zaměstnanců společnosti Euromedic Česká republika s.r.o. Na základě zhodnocení výsledků jsou navržena možná zlepšení a řešení případných problémů. V závěrečné části jsou porovnány praktické poznatky s teoretickými ideály a zamýšlím se nad soudobými motivačními technikami používanými českými managery a vedoucími.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the motivation and satisfaction of employees. Both are considered to be substantial factors influencing performance, creativity and thus success and the competitive ability of a respective company. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the explanation of the term motivation. It concentrates on reasons why a successful company should not omit to motivate employees and what are the consequences of an insufficient motivation program. Further, there are mentioned various ways of stimulation and a specific emphasis is given to the benefit system. The end of the theoretical part turns the attention to the right guidance of employees. The practical part elaborates on the motivation and satisfaction of employees of the company Euromedic Česká Republika s.r.o. by means of questionnaires. Based on the evaluation of results possible improvements and solutions to potential problems are suggested. The practical findings are compared with the theoretical ideals in the final part of the thesis and I am contemplating about the contemporary motivational techniques applied by Czech managers.
