Molekulární biologie se ve 21. století již nezaměřuje pouze na jednotlivé geny nebo proteiny. Symbolem začátku nového tisíciletí se staly interakce mezi nimi a jednou z možností k jejich pochopení jsou genové interakční sítě. Molecular biology of the 21st century does not focus only on individual genes or proteins. A symbol of the new millennium are interactions between them.
