Security aspects of aggregation protocols for wireless sensor networks

Abstract:

Osvojení bezdrátových senzorových sítí se očekává v přístích několika letech nebo dekádách a od protokolů se požaduje návrh s vědomím bezpečnosti již od úplného začátku. Návrh protokolu by měl zahrnovat efektivní metody šetření zdrojů co se týče omezené přirozenosti síťových uzlů a datová agregace je jedna z nich. Práce popíše současné protokoly zabezpečené datové agregace, a to bude zahrnovat bezpečnostní charakteristiky, které zajišťuje, předpokládaný model útočníka, použité řízení klíčů, existující útoky a bezpečnostní analýzu podle popsaného bezpečnostního modelu a z něho vyvozené další bezpečnostní zranitelnosti a silné stránky. Nakonec bude provedena analýza aplikace IDS v zabezpečených protokolech datové agregace v bezdrátových senzorových sítích.

Abstract:

The wireless sensor network is expected to be adopted in the next couple of years or decades and the protocols are desired to be designed with security in mind from scratch. The protocol design should include the efficient resource sparing methods what egards the limited nature of the network nodes and data aggregation is one of them. The thesis will describe the current secure data aggregation protocols and it will include the security characteristics which it ensures, assumed adversary model, utilized key management, existing attacks and security analysis according to the described security model and its deduction of another security vulnerabilities and strong points. Finally, the application analysis of the IDS in the secure data aggregation protocols in wireless sensor networks will be conducted in the end.
