Design of the support structure for the pump

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou vysokých vibrací v čerpací stanici surové vody ČSSV ETU, konkrétně ve spojitosti s čerpadly VD500 a VD600. V první části práce jsou blíže popsány základní pojmy jako konstrukce budov, dynamické zatížení od strojů a technologií nebo vibrodiagnostika. Práce seznámí čtenáře s možnostmi měření vibrací, možnostmi vyvažování a druhy údržby. V praktické části se práce zaměřuje na identifikaci příčin vibrací, jejich historický průběh a navrhuje opatření k jejich řešení. Z důvodu vibrací motoru čerpadla spojeného s podlahou budovy je navrženo posílení podpory motoru nebo zlepšení izolace motoru, aby se minimalizoval přenos vibrací do okolí. Byl vytvořen výpočtový model budovy a souvisejících zařízení pomocí metody konečných prvků (MKP) s cílem přesně zachytit dynamické chování motoru čerpadla. Na základě tohoto modelu byly navrženy tři varianty podpůrné konstrukce, které mají snížit amplitudy vibrací a předejít rezonanci mezi budícími a vlastními frekvencemi. Navrhovaná úprava se zaměřuje na zvýšení kritické vlastní frekvence systému, aby nedocházelo k rezonanci. Kombinace nové podpůrné konstrukce a opravy motoru by měla zajistit dlouhodobý provoz s minimálními vibracemi a maximální bezpečností a efektivitou.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of high vibrations in the raw water pumping station of the Czechoslovak State University of Technology, specifically in connection with the VD500 and VD600 pumps. In the first part of the thesis, basic terms such as building construction, dynamic loads from machines and technologies or vibrodiagnostics are described in more detail. The work introduces the reader to vibration measurement options, balancing options and types of maintenance. In the practical part, the thesis focuses on the identification of the causes of vibrations, their historical course and proposes measures to solve them. Due to the vibration of the pump motor connected to the floor of the building, it is suggested to strengthen the motor support or improve the isolation of the motor to minimize the transmission of vibration to the surroundings. A computational model of the building and associated equipment was created using the Finite Element Method (FEM) to accurately capture the dynamic behavior of the pump motor. Based on this model, three variants of the support structure were designed to reduce vibration amplitudes and prevent resonance between excitation and natural frequencies. The proposed modification focuses on increasing the critical natural frequency of the system to avoid resonance. The combination of new support structure and engine repair should ensure long-term operation with minimal vibration and maximum safety and efficiency.
